Welcome to The Manor House
High quality food and drink is the cornerstone of what we do. We find food exciting. When reading a menu, we love having to make those tough choices. You’re torn. That feeling that selecting one dish leaves you missing out on another that you really would like. That's what our customers should experience.
When it comes to drinks, we have a diverse wine list including some real treats from lesser known grapes and vineyards as well as some more familiar ones, with a good number by the glass.
We love beer and our selection shows it. We have 27 beers and ciders on draught and our back bar taps rotate through some of the best craft beers around, plus the fridges are stocked with bottles from some fantastic breweries.
If a stronger tipple is more your thing, you won't be disappointed. A wide range of gins and whiskies are on our shelves which are peppered with awards.
Not forgetting coffee. Whether it's to start the day or end it, coffee is just lovely. After a lot of tastings we've opted for a rich, smooth single origin Guatamalan roasted just a few miles away and now struggle to get past 10am without one.

My dear you are ugly, but tomorrow I shall be sober and you will still be ugly'
Winston Churchill's ability to lift the spirits of the British people in times of adversity were neatly balanced with a sparkling line in withering put-downs.
With 10 craft beers on tap and over 30 bottles and cans, we think that we have a pretty impressive range and choice - even Winston himself would be spoilt. Our wine menu is carefully selected giving choice and variety for every palate.
SPECIAL EVENTS & PRIVATE PARTIES
Manor House is a big old building and with it an ideal venue for private bookings and events. Our first floor events / dining room is ideal for christenings, birthdays, baby showers & private dining. It is also ideal for more private occasions such as wakes.
The events / dining room has its own private bar with a fine compliment of draught & bottled beers & ciders, wines and spirits and has a capacity for 60 persons.
It is also the only pub in Wanstead with a function room. We can offer set menus for group bookings looking for a sit down meal or canape menus for less formal functions. Whilst with such bookings as wakes, we can offer sandwiches in conjunction with our canape menu.
During busy periods on the weekend - especially during brunch service, we can provide canape menus, however during these periods we offer a reduced canape menu. Depending on the time of your booking is dependent on what canape menu we can offer. Please speak to one of the team for more details.
For Canape, Finger Food & Set Menus - please add this to your booking enquiry and we will send you our most current menu.
LCD screens available for presentations, flip charts and free access Wi-Fi.
If you require food we serve breakfast between 10:00am and 12:00pm Monday to Friday - main meals, bar snacks & sandwiches are also available.
Award winning cask ales, bottled craft beers & wines. Chesterfield couches for relaxed seating.
Once you have finished your meeting, why not take full advantage of our beer garden.
